Before you sign: any required monthly fee or "you can only use our app" answer = walk away (that's the lock-in LumiOS avoids). Make sure it's itemized (not one lump "smart system" price), keep a final payment until you've tested one light, both doors, and the app on your phone — and confirm the door locks meet fire/egress code. A lower total isn't better if it skips the electrician/locksmith or the testing hold-back.
