Lumi Nails & Med Spa · Professional scope of work & quote request
We're outfitting a new nail & med spa with a smart-building control system. The landlord is
running the low-voltage cabling, and the owner is installing all the smart devices herself (cameras, sensors,
locks, lighting, hub, software). The one job that needs a licensed pro is the front glass entry-door lock
(fire-code egress) — that's the priority. A few other items below are optional add-ons if you carry them.

MAIN
Front glass entry door lock + buzz-in
Supply & install a code-compliant electric strike or maglock with request-to-exit and free emergency egress (fail-safe / tied to fire alarm). Also wire it for remote release (buzz-in) so we can unlock the door from the front desk — and, if possible, trigger it from our app / video doorbell. See fire-code note below. This is the main thing we need.
Optional
Treatment-room locks (2)
Install 2 electronic door locks on the treatment rooms — if you'd rather do these than have us DIY them.
Optional
Camera / NVR mounting
Landlord runs the cable; owner supplies the 7 cameras + NVR. Quote the mounting + aiming + NVR setup only, if you offer labor-only installs.
Optional
Extras
Sirens, exterior sign relay, or terminating the equipment location — only if you carry that work.
Owner-supplied & owner-installed — please DO NOT quote these: the low-voltage cabling
(landlord is doing it), plus the control hub, lighting, thermostat, speakers, stick-on sensors, aromatherapy,
tablet, and the control software. We're handling all of that. Just quote the front-door lock (and any
optional items above you'd like to bid).
⚠ Fire-code / egress — critical on the glass front door: the entry lock must allow
free egress at all times (no key/tool to exit), fail-safe on power loss, and release on fire-alarm
activation. Must meet Chicago building & life-safety code and ADA. Please confirm compliance and coordinate with
the landlord/base-building fire panel.
Equipment involved (for the pro scope)
Commercial-grade but budget-conscious. You may supply these or we can — please
itemize either way so we can compare. Suggest a cost-effective equal if you prefer a line you stock.

What to include in your quote
1Itemize equipment vs. labor separately (this is how we're comparing bids).
2 Line items for each scope block (A–E) so we can pick and choose.
3 Your license # and proof of insurance.
4 Estimated timeline and how many on-site days.
5 Any permits the door/egress work requires, and whether you pull them.
Site notes
Leased storefront — some work needs landlord sign-off (door hardware, fire-panel tie-in). We'll coordinate.
We'll walk the space with you on site so you can see the front door, the rooms, and the routing.
The smart-device side is already handled — you don't need to integrate software; just leave any gear you install on the network and labeled.
Device worksheet — fill in during the walkthrough: for each camera and lock, note the
location, the model installed, and its IP/MAC. We'll use it to finish our side.
